Classic Oils

Designed for Veteran, Vintage and Classic cars, motorcycles and commercials

MODERN ADDITIVES IN PERIOD VISCOSITIES

Modern oils are not suitable for use in older vehicles.

Modern oils are formulated for modern engine designs, modern manufacturing processes and to enable them to meet existing and future emission legislation. This results in increasingly thinner oils. In the majority of instances these are not suitable for older vehicles which were designed to run on oils with completely different viscosities.

Millers “Classic” range has been specifically developed to protect and enhance the engines of vintage, veteran and classic vehicles.

Millers Classic Lubricants utilise modern additive technology in period style viscosities to enable vintage, veteran and classic vehicle owners to obtain the optimum lubrication for their car motorcycle or commercial vehicle.

INCREASED PERFORMANCE AND LONG LIFE FOR OLDER ENGINES

Engine Oils

Multigrade Oils

Multigrade oils were introduced in the early 1960s to solve the problem of using different grades in summer and winter.

Classic 10w40 is a mineral oil for classic petrol and diesel engines.

Classic 20w50 is a high quality, all mineral 20w50 oil with an appropriate modern additive package. This oil meets the “period” performance requirements for engines designed from the post war period up to the early 1980s, with the added benefit of Millers modern technology to help prolong engine life.

Classic Sport 20w50 is semi-synthetic engine oil for older engines. It is a premium, high performance, engine oil based on highest quality performance additives and shear stable viscosity improvers in a synthetic and mineral oil base.

Transverse M 20w50 is oil specially formulated for engines from 1960 onwards where engine and transmission share a common lubricant in a combined engine and gearbox sump such as a Mini. The additive package protects ball, roller and needle bearings found in the gearbox and provides EP protection levels higher than conventional engine oil and equal to API GL4 for gearboxes.

Low Detergent Monograde

The Pistoneeze range is suited to veteran and vintage vehicles where a mono grade is required and the owner is confident that there is no dirt or debris collected in the crankcase. It is also ideal for later vehicles built from 1940 to early 1960s with superior oil filtration systems which were designed to run on mono grade oils with some detergent and dispersant additives.

  • Pistoneeze P30 - SAE30
  • Pistoneeze P40 - SAE40
  • Pistoneeze P50 - SAE50

The Pistoneeze range of oils can be used in post vintage and classic engines.

Non Detergent Monograde

The Millerol range is suited to veteran and vintage cars manufactured before 1940. Such vehicles do not have any sophisticated form of oil filtration. The Millerol range is superior to the original lubricants used and, as then, does not contain dispersants or detergents which hold the deposits in suspension. The Millerol range contains an additive package that reduces wear and prevents oxidation and rusting. The Millerol range of oils consists of:

  • Millerol M30 - SAE30
  • Millerol M40 - SAE40
  • Millerol M50 - SAE50

The Millerol range of oils can be used in vintage engines and gearboxes

Gear Oils

Millers Oils has a full range of gear oils for veteran and vintage transmissions. These oils contain anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives, but exclude the EP additives which can harm yellow metals. MillersGreen Gear Oil 90, 140 & 250 are designed for vintage applications exceeding GL1. Also offered is MillersGear Oil 90 which is a very low EP mineral gear oil exceeding GL3. For bevel or lightly loaded hypoid gears, Millers offers Millers Gear Oil EP 80w90 & EP 140 for classic transmissions exceeding GL4. For highly loaded hypoid gears Millers offers Millers Differential Oil 90 & Differential oil 85w140 for classic transmissions.

Fuel Treatments

Millers Oils offers a full range of high performance fuel additive products. The addition of Millers VSP Plus fuel treatment to unleaded petrol replicates the three features obtained from lead:

  • Lubricates valves, guides and prevents valve seat recession
  • Adds 2 octane (20 octane points) to the base fuel
  • Provides flame front control to ensure efficient transfer of power across the top of the pistons preventing detonation, ‘hot spots’ and running-on.

Millers Octane Plus is a power boost petrol boost treatment which improves the octane rating of unleaded fuels by up to 2 octane numbers (20 octane points).

Millers Injecta Plus provides a unique blend of fuel additives formulated to condition fuel injectors and fuel systems, increasing engine power and acceleration. Also helps to maintain catalyser efficiency.

Millers Diesel Power Sport 4 incorporates the very latest additive technology to produce a “better than new” performance. Recommended especially for modern Euro IV compliant vehicles with catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters. Formulated to increase diesel cetane rating by up to 4 numbers resulting in significantly increased power output and a smoother running, much more responsive engine. It also incorporates a lubricity additive to protect against high fuel pump wear rates when using Low Sulphur Diesel.
